PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery Shares Surge 35% in Two Days After Q2 Results

Shares of PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery climbed sharply over two consecutive trading sessions, gaining 35 percent and reaching an all-time high of ₹738.40 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) during intraday trading on Thursday. This notable increase occurred despite a broadly weak market, highlighting strong investor interest in the company after it released its second quarter financials.

Since its initial public offering (IPO) debut on March 4, 2026, at ₹386 per share, the stock has nearly doubled, marking a 91 percent rise. The price has also surged 125 percent from its 52-week low of ₹328 recorded on March 30, 2026. As of 2:07 PM on the trading day in question, the share price stood at ₹704, which was still 11 percent higher, while the BSE Sensex was down by 1.53 percent. The trading volume surged dramatically, with approximately 12.92 million shares exchanging hands across the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE, representing a fifteen-fold increase in average volume.

PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery, a subsidiary of the P. N. Gadgil & Sons Group, is a branded retailer specializing in certified natural diamond jewellery. The company holds a strong foothold in Western India and is expanding its retail outlets across key cities. Unlike some competitors, PNGS does not engage in gold bullion trading; any gold sales arise incidentally from excess gold returned by customers during normal business operations.

The company’s Q2FY27 financial performance was impressive. Revenue, excluding gold sales, grew by 46.25 percent year-on-year (YoY) and by 17.46 percent including gold sales. For the first half of the financial year (April to September 2026), revenue increased 75.75 percent YoY excluding gold and 52.19 percent including gold. These gains are particularly noteworthy given the absence of festival days during this quarter, which traditionally boost jewellery sales.

Typically, the 45-day festive season covering Dussehra and Diwali accounts for the largest revenue share annually. However, Q2FY27 had zero festive days compared to nine days in the same period last year. Despite this, the company delivered strong sales growth, supported by consistent consumer demand throughout the quarter.

Industry analysts note that India’s diamond jewellery market is benefiting from changing consumer behavior, rising disposable incomes, and a broader acceptance of diamonds for everyday wear rather than solely special occasions. The upcoming third quarter featuring the wedding season and major festivals is expected to further enhance sales, especially for higher-value items. PNGS Reva’s planned expansion of exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) aims to capitalize on these trends.

According to CARE Ratings, PNGS Reva operates an asset-light business model with a variable cost structure that offers operational flexibility. Raw materials account for the largest cost component, followed by selling commissions and other operational expenses. While launching additional exclusive stores is likely to increase fixed costs and pressure margins, profitability is forecast to remain solid in the medium term.

The Indian gems and jewellery sector continues to be fragmented, with many unorganised players alongside large integrated manufacturers and organised retailers. Over the past decade, consumers have increasingly favored organised retail chains, creating opportunities for companies like PNGS Reva to grow.

Competition remains intense, including from other firms under the ‘PNG’ brand umbrella. PNGS Reva’s sales are currently concentrated in a few cities in Maharashtra, making its ability to expand geographically critical for further growth. Additionally, the company faces challenges and opportunities from the rising popularity of lab-grown diamonds, which benefit from supportive government policies but also introduce shifts in consumer preference and regulatory risks.

Investors and market watchers will be closely monitoring how PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery navigates these factors while executing its growth strategy in a dynamic sector.
