Adani Group, OMCs, Persistent Systems Among Stocks in Focus Amid Market Dip

Indian stock markets saw a decline on Tuesday, giving up early gains as investors booked profits amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and the approach of weekly options expiry. The IT sector was notably impacted, dragging benchmarks lower despite some relief from falling crude oil prices and easing bond yields.

The Nifty50 index closed at 23,329, down 85.30 points or 0.36%, while the Sensex ended 329.91 points lower, settling at 74,529.08, a 0.44% dip. Technical analysis highlighted a bearish engulfing pattern on the Nifty50 daily chart, indicating a loss of upward momentum. Rupak De, senior technical analyst at LKP Securities, noted that market sentiment remains fragile, with immediate support around 23,300. Should this level be breached, the index could test 23,000. Conversely, resistance is seen at 23,400, with a sustained move above that potentially pushing the index toward 23,600 or higher.
