Reckitt Reports Double-Digit Growth for India Business in Q3 2026

Reckitt, the UK-based multinational that owns well-known consumer brands such as Dettol, Harpic, Finish, Durex, and Lizol, announced robust growth in its India operations during the third quarter of calendar year 2026. The company reported double-digit expansion in the region, fueled by widespread gains across multiple product categories.

During the earnings call held on October 27, 2026, Reckitt highlighted that India continued to display strong momentum with broad-based category growth. The company credited its ongoing AI-driven sales transformation efforts, which have enhanced its market execution capabilities.

While noting the positive results, Reckitt also pointed out that the previous year’s quarter had experienced a GST-related stock depletion. This created a favorable comparison base, which is expected to normalize in the upcoming fourth quarter.

Kris Licht, Reckitt’s CEO, provided further insights on the overall performance in emerging markets. He stated that regions including South Asia, India, ASEAN, and Africa all recorded double-digit growth. Meanwhile, markets like Latin America and China posted mid-single-digit gains. Licht emphasized the company’s strategy to accelerate growth by expanding into new categories and markets, complementing the strong positions Reckitt holds in China and India.

One of Reckitt’s flagship brands, Dettol, played a significant role in the company’s growth story. The brand achieved double-digit growth across emerging markets, supported by product innovation and expansion into new segments. In India, Reckitt recently introduced new offerings such as a washing machine cleaner and the Dettol Activ Botany range, which features plant-derived hygiene and disinfectant products. These launches reflect the company’s commitment to diversifying its hygiene portfolio and catering to evolving consumer preferences.

Harpic, another key brand in Reckitt’s portfolio, also contributed positively, delivering double-digit growth in the third quarter. Its performance was notably strong in emerging markets, with India being a significant contributor. The intimate wellness segment in India mirrored this trend, posting double-digit growth as well, underscoring broad-based demand across Reckitt’s product categories.

Emerging markets represent a crucial part of Reckitt’s business, accounting for 44 percent of the company’s core revenue. In the third quarter of 2026, these markets reported like-for-like net revenue growth of 8 percent, highlighting steady advancement despite varying regional challenges.

Reckitt’s sustained performance in India and other emerging markets comes at a time when consumer goods companies are increasingly focusing on these regions as key drivers of future growth. Rising disposable incomes, urbanization, and heightened awareness around hygiene and wellness are fueling demand for trusted brands like those under Reckitt’s umbrella.

Overall, Reckitt’s Q3 2026 results demonstrate the company’s ability to maintain strong growth through strategic innovation and market expansion. Its focus on leveraging technology for sales effectiveness and adapting products to local consumer needs appears to be paying off, particularly in high-potential markets such as India. As global economic conditions continue to evolve, Reckitt’s performance in emerging markets will likely remain a critical factor in its broader corporate strategy.
