Agilisium Moves Asia HQ to Hyderabad, Targets $500M Revenue by 2030
Agilisium, a company specializing in life sciences innovation and transformation, has revealed plans to relocate its Asia headquarters from Chennai to Hyderabad. This strategic move is designed to strengthen the company’s footprint in one of India’s fastest-growing hubs for pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
The decision places Hyderabad alongside Chennai and Pune as a key operational center for Agilisium. The company has set ambitious targets of reaching $500 million in revenue and expanding its workforce to about 5,000 highly skilled professionals within the next five to seven years.
Telangana, the state where Hyderabad is located, has been making significant strides in the global life sciences arena. Its leadership in the sector, supported by platforms such as BioAsia, has cultivated an environment focused on innovation and growth. Agilisium’s move reflects confidence in the region’s ability to support high-level scientific and technological ventures.
By establishing its Asia headquarters in Hyderabad, Agilisium aims to build a global enterprise that integrates scientific expertise, cutting-edge technology, and proprietary intellectual property. Since entering the life sciences domain in 2018, the company has developed a broad range of capabilities spanning research and drug discovery, clinical development, manufacturing, and commercial operations.
Agilisium is currently on track to close the year 2026 with revenues estimated between $72 million and $75 million. The company expects to surpass $100 million in annual life sciences revenue by 2027. Its growth strategy focuses on combining scientific knowledge, industry insight, and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) to create specialized solutions and proprietary technologies, moving beyond traditional IT service models.
Raj Babu, Agilisium’s founder and CEO, emphasized India’s proven capacity to build globally competitive technology enterprises. He highlighted the opportunity to blend this technological strength with scientific expertise and proprietary intellectual property to transform industries worldwide.
"We applaud the efforts of Telangana’s leadership, including the Minister for IT and Industries and the Director and CEO of Telangana Life Sciences, for establishing a world-class ecosystem," Babu said. "Hyderabad has demonstrated its ability to foster global technology businesses, positioning itself well for the next wave of innovation. Our goal is to develop a global life sciences innovation and transformation enterprise from this base, moving beyond the conventional IT services model."
The company’s approach integrates scientific knowledge, deep industry understanding, process consulting, and advanced AI to deliver differentiated solutions tailored for the life sciences sector. A central component of this strategy is Alexandria AI, a proprietary platform designed to assist life sciences commercial teams with product launches and indication expansions. Additionally, it supports the certification of Agilisium’s Forward Deployment Experts, who combine human expertise and AI agents to tackle industry challenges.
Complementing Alexandria AI, ZenixBio advances Agilisium’s commitment to scientific research and innovation. The company plans to reinvest a substantial portion of its profits into innovation labs, focusing on AI agents, specialized solutions, and proprietary platforms targeted at global life sciences organizations.
Arun Kumar, Agilisium’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief AI & Innovation Officer, remarked on the importance of integrating scientific expertise, domain knowledge, and intelligent technology to address complex life sciences challenges. "At Agilisium, we are dedicating resources to attract specialized talent, develop proprietary AI platforms, and create innovative delivery models that drive transformation across the life sciences value chain," Kumar explained. "Relocating our Asia headquarters to Hyderabad reinforces our commitment to building unique intellectual property and delivering measurable business value to life sciences clients worldwide."
This relocation is a significant milestone in Agilisium’s expansion within India. By positioning its operations closer to Hyderabad’s vibrant life sciences ecosystem, the company aims to scale its specialized capabilities, enhance its innovation efforts, and develop advanced solutions for global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.
