LG Electronics India Q2 Net Profit Rises 25.6% to ₹489 Crore

LG Electronics India Ltd has announced a significant increase in its financial performance for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2027. The company reported a 25.65 percent growth in net profit, reaching ₹489.34 crore for the July to September period. This marks a considerable improvement compared to the ₹389.43 crore net profit recorded in the same quarter last year, as per the company's regulatory filing.

Along with the rise in net profit, LG Electronics India saw its revenue from operations climb by 19.53 percent to ₹7,380.04 crore during the quarter under review. This is a notable increase from the ₹6,174.03 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. The company attributed its improved performance to several strategic efforts despite facing challenges such as elevated commodity prices, depreciation of the Indian rupee, and increased investments aimed at gearing up for the upcoming festive season demand.

LG Electronics India managed to enhance its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) by 28 percent, reaching ₹701 crore. The EBITDA margin expanded by 63 basis points, rising to 9.5 percent. This indicates more efficient operations and better cost management in the face of rising expenses.

The company’s total expenses for the quarter increased by 18.88 percent to ₹6,810.93 crore, reflecting the higher costs associated with raw materials, marketing, and supply chain adjustments. Despite these rising costs, LG Electronics India’s ability to boost profitability demonstrates resilience and effective business strategies.

LG Electronics India is a prominent player in the appliance and consumer electronics market. It manufactures and sells a wide range of products including televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and mobile devices. The company operates in a competitive industry that is influenced by changing consumer preferences, technological advancements, and economic factors such as currency fluctuations and raw material prices.

The second quarter performance gains are particularly relevant as they set the stage for the festive season, a critical period for consumer electronics sales in India. Companies often increase marketing and distribution efforts during this time to capture heightened demand. LG’s investments in go-to-market strategies appear to have been timely, helping the company secure a strong market position during the quarter.

Industry analysts note that the consumer electronics sector in India is expected to grow steadily due to rising disposable incomes, urbanization, and increased adoption of smart home appliances. However, companies must navigate challenges like supply chain disruptions and inflationary pressures. LG Electronics India’s results suggest it is managing these factors effectively.

Looking ahead, LG Electronics India is likely to continue focusing on innovation, product diversification, and expanding its distribution network to maintain its growth momentum. The company’s Q2 results provide a positive outlook for stakeholders and reflect its capacity to adapt to market dynamics while sustaining profitability.

In summary, LG Electronics India’s financial results for the second quarter of FY27 demonstrate robust growth in net profit and revenue despite a challenging operating environment. The company’s ability to increase earnings and margins while investing in future demand highlights its strong market position within the Indian consumer electronics industry.
