Raymond Realty Shares Climb 6% After Strong Q2 Performance
Raymond Realty’s stock rebounded sharply on Monday, gaining more than 6 percent in intraday trading and breaking a four-day streak of losses. The upturn came after the company reported impressive operational results for the second quarter of the 2026-27 fiscal year.
Shares of the real estate division of Raymond touched an intraday high of ₹690 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, marking a 6.46 percent increase compared to the previous close of ₹648.10. This bounce back helped the stock recover some of the ground lost during the previous four sessions, where it had fallen nearly 9 percent in total. By 1:55 PM, the share price was recorded at ₹687.10, up 6 percent.
Strong Sales and Collections Drive Growth
The company’s second quarter performance was bolstered by a notable surge in pre-sales and collections. Pre-sales nearly doubled year-on-year, rising 98 percent to ₹902 crore for the quarter ending September. This compares to ₹455 crore in the corresponding period of the prior year. Over the first half of the fiscal year, pre-sales climbed 111 percent to reach ₹1,602 crore from ₹760 crore a year ago.
Collections also showed robust growth, increasing 67 percent year-on-year to ₹682 crore during the July to September quarter, up from ₹409 crore in the previous year. For the first half of FY27, collections totaled ₹1,233 crore, a 57 percent increase over ₹783 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Raymond Realty noted that no new projects were launched during this quarter, emphasizing that the growth was driven solely by sustained sales momentum and steady price realization within their existing portfolio.
Future Launch Pipeline and Financial Position
The company outlined plans to accelerate growth in the coming two quarters through a strong pipeline of launches in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). These upcoming projects represent a total gross development value (GDV) exceeding ₹4,100 crore, which is expected to further strengthen Raymond Realty’s market presence.
On the financing front, the company's gross borrowings rose by ₹125 crore during the quarter, bringing the total debt to ₹1,220 crore as of September 30, 2026. These funds were largely allocated to construction activities associated with project launches from the previous fiscal year.
Raymond Realty reported liquidity of ₹306 crore, with net debt standing at ₹914 crore. This keeps the net debt-to-equity ratio well below the company’s board-approved maximum of 1.0x. The management stated that this capital deployment aligns with a strong collections outlook and is strategically timed to support key revenue milestones in the next 12 to 18 months.
Leadership Commentary
Harmohan Sahni, Managing Director and CEO of Raymond Realty, commented on the quarterly results: “We nearly doubled pre-sales this quarter without any new launches, supported by resilient sustenance sales and continued homebuyer confidence in our projects. Looking ahead, our focus centres on scaling our operational footprint through a strong pipeline of scheduled launches in MMR. Representing a cumulative GDV of over ₹4,100 crore, these launches are expected to strengthen our market position and support our objective of achieving the pre-sales guidance for FY27.”
He added, “Our approach remains disciplined: grow based on collections, keep leverage well within our ceiling, and compound returns for our shareholders.”
Industry Context
Raymond Realty operates within the Indian real estate sector, which has been witnessing gradual recovery supported by improving demand and healthier sales volumes in key urban markets. Developers increasingly focus on pre-sales and collections to maintain liquidity and fund ongoing projects without overleveraging their balance sheets.
Strong pre-sales figures and effective capital management are critical factors that investors watch closely when evaluating real estate companies. Raymond Realty’s recent performance indicates positive momentum, which could bode well as the company prepares to launch several substantial projects in the near future.
As the real estate market continues to stabilize, companies like Raymond Realty that maintain disciplined growth strategies and strong sales pipelines may be positioned to capitalize on improving consumer confidence and urban housing demand.
