Oracle Shares Surge 13% on Strong 2030 Revenue Forecast and Debt Plan
Oracle Corporation’s stock climbed 13 percent on Wednesday following the company’s announcement of an ambitious revenue forecast and a clear strategy to control its debt levels. The software giant projected revenue of $225 billion by fiscal year 2030, signaling an average annual growth rate of 35 percent over the next several years.
This optimistic outlook was presented at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas on October 27, 2026, by co-CEO Caly Magouryk. The forecast exceeded Wall Street expectations, with analysts surveyed by LSEG predicting an 8 percent growth rate for fiscal 2027 and a revenue figure of $224.2 billion by 2030. Oracle’s guidance suggests a much faster expansion pace, reassuring investors about the company’s long-term prospects.
Alongside the revenue outlook, Oracle revealed plans to cap additional fundraising from fiscal 2027 through 2030 at $20 billion. The company intends to evenly split this amount between issuing equity and taking on new debt. This decision is designed to maintain a balanced capital structure while supporting ongoing investments, particularly in its artificial intelligence initiatives.
Oracle highlighted that vendor financing, customer-supplied hardware, and customer prepayments will help reduce upfront cash demands during the transition to positive free cash flow. This approach aims to ease financial pressure as the company scales up its AI capabilities and other growth segments.
Earlier in the year, Oracle’s shares had fallen roughly 33 percent amid concerns about the impact of rising interest rates on the firm’s sizeable debt burden. The company currently holds $117 billion in long-term debt and retains a BBB- credit rating from S&P, which is at the lowest tier of investment-grade status just above junk level.
Oracle’s substantial debt has been a point of focus given the heavy investments required to develop its artificial intelligence offerings. The firm’s creditors and investors have been closely watching how management plans to balance growth ambitions with prudent financial management.
By setting a clear ceiling on fundraising and sharing details about its financing strategy, Oracle appears to be addressing these concerns head-on. The promise of limiting new borrowing to $10 billion in debt over the four-year period, combined with equity offerings, signals a commitment to maintaining financial discipline.
This financial outlook comes against the backdrop of increasing demand for AI-powered software solutions, a sector where Oracle aims to strengthen its position. The company has been investing heavily in AI technology to enhance its cloud services and enterprise software products, competing with major players in the tech industry.
Oracle’s growth forecast and funding plan will be closely watched by market participants as indicators of the company’s ability to execute its AI strategy without overextending financially. The improved investor confidence evident in the stock’s 13 percent jump reflects a positive reception to the company’s message.
As the technology sector continues to evolve with rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, Oracle’s approach to balancing innovation with financial stability could serve as a model for other companies managing similar transitions.
