Jio Platforms Sets IPO Subscription Dates from October 21 to 23, 2026
Jio Platforms, the digital services arm of Reliance Industries, has officially announced the subscription period for its much-anticipated initial public offering (IPO). The company will open the IPO for public subscription from October 21 to October 23, 2026, according to a regulatory filing made public on Wednesday.
In the filing, Jio Platforms disclosed that it has submitted its Red Herring Prospectus (RHP) to the Registrar of Companies in Gujarat, located in Ahmedabad. This marks a key step forward in the process of offering new shares to the public as the company prepares to raise capital through the equity market.
The IPO will consist of a fresh issue of up to 27 crore equity shares, each carrying a face value of ₹10. This move is designed to allow investors to acquire a stake in one of India’s leading technology and digital service providers. Jio Platforms has rapidly expanded its footprint in telecommunications, digital media, and technology-driven services, making this share offering an event of significant interest to market participants.
Notably, the IPO includes specific reservations for certain investor groups. Eligible employees of Jio Platforms will have the opportunity to subscribe to shares reserved for them, amounting to a total value of up to ₹500 crore. Additionally, Reliance Industries shareholders will have a reserved quota of shares worth up to ₹2,500 crore. This reservation extends to individual shareholders as well as Hindu Undivided Families (HUFs) holding public equity shares of Reliance Industries as of October 14, 2026, provided they meet all applicable eligibility criteria.
The process for anchor investors is scheduled to begin earlier, with bidding set for October 19, 2026. Anchor investors typically include large institutional investors who commit to purchasing shares before the public subscription window opens. Their involvement often serves as a sign of confidence in the offering and can influence public investor sentiment.
Reliance Industries, the parent company of Jio Platforms, is one of India’s largest conglomerates with diversified interests spanning energy, petrochemicals, retail, and digital services. The launch of Jio Platforms’ IPO is seen as a strategic move to unlock value and provide additional funding to accelerate its growth in the digital and technology sector. In recent years, Jio Platforms has emerged as a key player in India’s digital economy, offering services ranging from telecommunications to digital content, financial technology, and cloud computing.
The public subscription for the IPO will last three days, closing on October 23, 2026. Market observers and investors will be closely monitoring the response to this offering, as it represents an opportunity to invest in a company that has been instrumental in transforming India’s digital landscape.
With the IPO now formally launched, interested investors are encouraged to review the prospectus and understand the terms of the offering. The successful listing of Jio Platforms could have implications for the broader Indian stock market, particularly in the technology and telecom sectors, which have seen increasing investor interest amid rapid digitization trends across the country.
As the subscription dates approach, updates and detailed information regarding the IPO will be shared through official channels, ensuring transparency and accessibility for all potential investors.
