Ratnaveer Precision Engineering Shares Jump 8% on Strong Q2 Results

Ratnaveer Precision Engineering saw its stock price soar to a fresh high of ₹387.80 during Monday’s intraday trading session on the BSE, marking an 8 percent increase. This surge followed the company’s announcement of a robust second-quarter performance for the fiscal year 2027, with profit after tax (PAT) rising 54.7 percent year-on-year to ₹24.07 crore.

This latest peak surpassed the previous record of ₹365.75 set on October 30, 2026. The company’s shares have significantly outpaced the broader market, climbing 154 percent so far in calendar year 2026, while the BSE Sensex has declined by 11.7 percent over the same period. Remarkably, Ratnaveer’s stock price has expanded by 200 percent since hitting a 52-week low of ₹129.43 on March 30, 2026.

By early afternoon trading on Monday, shares were still up 5 percent at ₹379, outperforming the Sensex’s modest 1 percent gain. Trading volumes nearly doubled, with about 7.8 million shares exchanging hands across the NSE and BSE platforms.

Financial Performance Highlights

Ratnaveer Precision Engineering, known for manufacturing and exporting stainless steel washers and precision fasteners, reported a 35.5 percent increase in revenue to ₹387 crore in Q2FY27 compared to the same quarter last year. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) also expanded, growing 28.4 percent year-on-year to ₹36.5 crore.

However, the EBITDA margin contracted slightly by 52 basis points, settling at 9.4 percent due to higher costs of goods sold. The company attributed this margin pressure to increased raw material expenses during the quarter.

Ratnaveer highlighted operational gains across its diversified production lines, supported by its established export markets. The firm is also expanding into electronics-grade materials through an integrated FR-4 Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) project, which it described as a strategic initiative poised to open new markets.

Capital Raising and Expansion Plans

In a recent capital move, Ratnaveer successfully completed a ₹330 crore rights issue that was subscribed 1.11 times. The FR-4 CCL project is approximately 75 percent finished, with machinery expected to arrive by mid-November 2026. The first phase will offer an annual capacity of 1.584 million sheets.

India’s domestic CCL market currently relies heavily on imports, and the company sees rising demand driven by sectors such as electronics, electric vehicles, telecommunications, and defense. These factors present significant long-term growth potential for Ratnaveer’s new product lines.

Looking ahead, company management emphasized a commitment to timely project completion, commissioning of the new facility, and strengthening its existing manufacturing base. The goal is to develop a diversified manufacturing platform that can capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Industry Analyst Commentary

ICICI Securities noted Ratnaveer’s strong Q2 results, with revenue up 35.5 percent, EBITDA growing by 28.4 percent, and PAT increasing 54.7 percent. Despite this progress, the slight contraction in EBITDA margin due to cost pressures suggests that sustaining profitability will require effective management of input expenses.

The integrated CCL project stands out as a major growth engine, given the estimated ₹5,000 crore Indian market size and more than 90 percent dependence on imports. The company aims to reach ₹750 crore in revenue and ₹150 crore in EBITDA from this segment by fiscal year 2031 at full production capacity of 7.92 trillion sheets annually.

ICICI Securities highlighted that the timely commissioning and operational ramp-up of the CCL facility will be key factors to watch in the near term.

Context in the Manufacturing Sector

The precision engineering and fasteners industry forms a critical part of India’s manufacturing ecosystem, supplying components essential for automotive, electronics, and infrastructure sectors. Companies like Ratnaveer play an important role in reducing import dependence and supporting the country’s push towards self-reliance in high-precision industrial goods.

The move into electronics-grade materials aligns with broader trends in domestic manufacturing that focus on advanced materials to serve growing technology-driven industries. As demand for electric vehicles and telecommunications infrastructure expands, suppliers with integrated capabilities are positioned to capture significant market share.

Ratnaveer’s combination of strong export presence, capital infusion, and strategic diversification reflects a proactive approach to evolving market dynamics. Investors and industry observers will be closely monitoring the company’s project execution and margin management in the coming quarters.
