LG Electronics Unveils New Semi-Automatic Washing Machines in India

LG Electronics India has introduced a fresh selection of semi-automatic washing machines tailored to meet diverse laundry demands and family sizes. This new lineup, comprising 15 distinct models with capacities ranging from 8 kg to 12 kg, aims to combine efficient washing capabilities with user-friendly features and sturdy design.

The newly launched machines are designed to offer consumers a blend of strong washing performance and convenient operation. LG has also focused on durability and an appealing aesthetic, ensuring the products stand out with a premium look. This expansion caters to varying household requirements and preferences in design, providing more options for Indian buyers looking for semi-automatic solutions.

Production of these washing machines takes place at LG’s manufacturing unit located in Greater Noida. This facility is noted for its adoption of Industry 5.0 principles, integrating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). These advanced systems contribute to precise manufacturing processes and streamlined logistics operations.

LG emphasizes quality control by implementing comprehensive inspection procedures. Each washing machine undergoes a 100 percent quality check alongside AI-driven vision inspection. Additionally, the products are subjected to thorough testing in laboratories accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), ensuring they meet high standards for operational efficiency and reliability.

Looking beyond the Indian market, LG Electronics plans to begin exporting the AX series of semi-automatic washing machines starting in 2027. The company has targeted over ten countries worldwide for this international rollout, expanding its footprint in the global home appliance sector.

The introduction of these semi-automatic washing machines comes at a time when demand for versatile and cost-effective laundry solutions remains strong in India and other emerging markets.
