Explained: Why Vedanta shares are up 4% after government’s royalty cut on crude oil

Vedanta shares rallied after the Centre reduced royalty rates on crude oil and natural gas production, a move expected to lower costs for the company’s Rajasthan fields and support upstream exploration.
