US govt wants new Fed chair in place ‘soon as possible’: Treasury chief

The US administration wants Kevin Warsh in place as a new central bank chair “as soon as possible,” with the existing chief’s term coming soon to an end, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Tuesday.
